Growing
Jazz Live
A new series of
in-school jazz presentations
Jazz education has a proven impact on a
student's academic success, but how do you get
students to pick up an instrument? Growing
Jazz recognizes that excitement about jazz
education should begin at an early age, which is
why Growing Jazz Live
takes the music into the student's school
with live assembly presentations about the
history and style of jazz that include
interactive elements and lots of great music to
spark an interest in young students. |
Growing
Jazz Together
Involving and
empowering parents in their children's jazz
education
While formal education is
generally thought of as the bulk of a child's
education, studies show that what children learn
outside of school is even more important to
their development.
Growing Jazz Together
takes jazz education out of the
classroom by empowering parents to help their
students continue to experience and learn about
jazz on their own, strengthening the
relationship between parent and child while at
the same time nuturing a life-long love of jazz
for both. |

Sunday Jazz @ the Witte
An opportunity to
experience live jazz in a family-friendly
environment
Jazz music is
wonderful to listen to, but parents with younger
children may be hesitant to take their kids to
local bars or jazz clubs.
Sunday Jazz at the Witte
Museum presents a family-friendly opportunity
for parents and children to enjoy jazz in an
environment that is appropriate for all ages,
and combines a great musical experience with one
of San Antonio's premier educational museums.
